Each culture has their unique style of art and can tell a story of what was going on in that time period. As we explore different cultures and time periods, we are able to see a wide variety of diversity. By going through this artistic journey will students be able to see the cultural essences for different countries around the world?

The purpose of this assignment is for students to become familiar with the shot angles and how and camera movements to apply the rules to create visually stimulating videos.

Your task is to create an advertising campaign for the product you chose. This ad needs to reach the audience who reads the magazine you chose and make the reader want to buy the product.

You will create a new company logo, You will be using Photoshop/Illustrator for this endeavor. Logo must be relevant to your chosen business it must CLEARLY identify what type of company you are, use appropriate fonts, color and balance in your design according to good design principles discussed in class.

All forms of visual communication are based on the understanding and proper utilization of the elements and principles of design in order to effectively convey a message. In this assignment you will define and identify the elements of design through the use of examples of visual communication.

Rubric to assess the storyboard created for a video production

Students will be able to effectively demonstrate their understanding creating a well balanced composition while using at least 3 Elements of Art through mark making, color, line, and shape exploration. Students will be able to effectively demonstrate their understanding creating a well balanced composition while using at least 3 Principles of Design to draw something from nature.

Students are to use an existing 30 sec to 45 sec minute stand up comedy skit and present it to the class. Props are optional, but limited to 2 only. Student need to make sure the overall presentation is not be vulgar, crude, racist, or inappropriate in any way. No use of profanity is accepted. In the written presentation the students must acknowledge the person(S) whose work they borrowed.

Students will create an advertisement using persuasive details and emotional appeals; complete with logo and word choice. Advertisement should be for a product not normally advertised to teens. Choose HOW you want to market it and WHO you want to sell it to. Decide how best you can persuade those buyers to purchase your product.
