Make a Phone App on MIT App Inventor 
CHALLENGE: To create a mobile app for an Android device. PROJECT OBJECTIVE(S): students will obtain an introductory experience with App Inventor (watch 4 beginner tutorials while following along in App Inventor, choose a tutorial or two of interest, then create an original app using the knowledge gained to practice using arguments and variables in mobile app design.
