Human Rights Poster Rubric
The students will create a poster on a chosen Human Right that they believe is important. The poster should include a Human Right, a responsibility that comes with it, an image representing the right, and a written description of why it is important to the student.

The poster is presented in a clear and concise manner with full understanding of the subject.

The poster is clear, colorful and logical.
It contains very few mistakes indicating a good understanding of the subject.
Level 2

The poster lacks some creativity and colour.
The poster lacks neatness and clarity indicating very little understanding of the subject.
Level 1

The poster lacks a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors. Poster is not colorful or creative.
Presentation

Level 4

The presentation was the appropriate length. It did not seem hurried or too slow. The presenter spoke clearly and distinctly and established eye contact with the audience.
Level 3

The presentation was the appropriate length but seemed slightly hurried or a bit slow. The presenter spoke clearly most of the time and established eye contact with the audience.
Level 2

The presentation was the appropriate length but seemed very hurried or too slow. The presenter spoke clearly and distinctly only some of the time and/or established little eye contact with the audience.
Level 1

The presentation was too long or too short. The presenter did not speak clearly most of the time and established little eye contact with the audience.
