This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Excellent - (A)

All required slides included with correct information.<BR>
Business is explained clearly and in an organized manner.
Good - (B)

All required slides with relevant information.<BR>
Business is somewhat explained but more information is required.
Fair - (C)

Missing some slides or relevant information.<BR>
Business is slightly explained but more material is needed.
Poor - (D)

Many slides missing or slides do not contain relevant information.<BR>
Business is addressed but not explained or elaborated on.
Presentation/Graphics
30 %

Excellent - (A)

Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read.

Capitalization and punctuation are correct throughout the presentation. There are no grammatical errors.

There are a few grammatical errors.
Fair - (C)

There are 4 to 6 grammatical errors.
Poor - (D)

There are more than 6 grammatical errors.
Voice
20 %

Excellent - (A)

Speaker(s) present in a clear voice, with emphasis. They make eye contact with the audience, and do not read from screen.
Good - (B)

Speaking voice is fairly clear, with some emphasis. Some eye contact with audience. Some reading from screen.
Fair - (C)

Speaker(s) present in an unclear voice, or with little emphasis, or constantly reads from the screen.
Poor - (D)

Speaker(s) does not present in a clear voice, speaks with no emphasis, and reads simply from the presentation.
Group Work
15 %

Excellent - (A)

Used allotted time well. Group dynamic was positive and consistently on topic. All members of the group were engaged and presented well thought ideas.
Good - (B)

Allotted time often used well. Group worked well and stayed on topic with the exception of some minor distractions. Most group members contributed to/participated in group discussionsl
Fair - (C)

Allotted time seldomly used well. Group was often distracted and off topic. Not all members of the group contributed to/participated in group discussions.
Poor - (D)

Allotted time was not used well. Group was consistently off topic and disruptive during allocated time. Group discussions were minimal and not all members contributed to/participated in said discussions.
Presentation Time
15 %

Excellent - (A)

Time management was performed with precision. Slides were concise and all members of the group contributed an equal amount to attaining the desired presentation duration.
Good - (B)

Time management was performed well. All members of the group contributed in some manner to the presentation. Presentation duration was slightly under (<1min) or exceeded (>1min) the specified duration. Rehearsal could be used to ensure the presentation duration is met.
Fair - (C)

Lacking time management. Not all members of the group presented equal amounts of time and the group did not attain or greatly exceeded the desired presentation length (by >1 min).
Poor - (D)

Time management was not performed. Not all members of the group contributed in the presentation. Presentation was not rehearsed and as a result presentation was well under/over (by >2min) the desired presentation length.
