Costume Design Costume Design You are expected to design a costume, appropriate to character and time period, for twelve of the main characters of the play and write a supporting paragraph for each costume explaining why you created this costume for the character. Creativity	Excellent Costumes have rich, attractive patterns that are both pleasing to the eye as well as functionally accurate. Appropriate material is provided to create a 3-D element for all 12 costumes.	Good Costumes use fairly attractive patterns and are relatively functionally accurate. Material is provided to create a 3-D element for six or more costumes.	Fair Costumes are somewhat unappealing to the eye and are not very functional. Material is provided for 3-6 costumes.	Poor Costumes are unattractive, messy, and lack functionality. Material is provided for 3 or fewer costumes.
Accuracy	Excellent Costumes are at least 90% accurate to the play/character and time period. Completed twelve required costumes.	Good Costumes are 89-80% accurate to the play/character and time period. Completed eight required costumes.	Fair Costumes are 79-70% accurate to the play/character and time period. Completed four of the four required costumes.	Poor Costumes are 69-60% accurate to the play/character and time period. Completed less than three required costumes.
