	Outstanding 10 pts	Proficient 8 pts	Basic 6 pts	Beginning 4 pts
Content 10 pts	Outstanding Presenter includes a synopsis, an excerpt, and a well-prepared movie trailer with an explanation of the rating related to the themes of the novel.	Proficient Includes a synopsis, an excerpt, and a movie trailer with a rating based on the novel. Presentation may be missing a piece of information or the novel is misrepresented.	Basic May include a synopsis and an excerpt, but gives too much or not enough information. Presenter has not given enough forethought to the presentation and or the editing was not complete.	Beginning Does not include several pieces of the project. Presenter has not given forethought to what he/she was gong to say and or no editing was performed.
Persuasion 10 pts	Outstanding Reaction to the book shows ethos, pathos, and logos in recommendation. Convinces viewers to read the book. Explained why you enjoyed the book with evidence.	Proficient Interesting, tells why you enjoyed the book, connects to the audience, tells just enough.	Basic Hardly convincing, spoils some of the book, loses the audience, tells why you like the book but does not connect to the audience.	Beginning Unconvincing, spoils the book, does not tell why or why not you enjoy the book, uninteresting.
Volume 10 pts	Outstanding Clearly heard, loudness matches mood, and the dynamics match the book.	Proficient Audible, clear, has some dynamics, and the volume is acceptable.	Basic Audible but not clear, and or has little dynamics.	Beginning Inaudible.
Fluency 10 pts	Outstanding Can understand every word; sounds like they are speaking in a conversation, and does not stumble.	Proficient Clear, has practiced, has annunciation, may stumble a little, but doesn't detract from fluency.	Basic Can't understand some key words, and or needs practice.	Beginning Mumbling, lots of stumbling, and or no practice is evident.
Creativity 10 pts	Outstanding Creatively uses a variety of effective visual aids and/or other methods of delivery.	Proficient Show moderately effective creative use of a variety of visual aids and/or other methods of delivery.	Basic Show limited effective creative use of a variety of visual aids and/or other methods of delivery.	Beginning No creativity.
