The article/source is from a reliable source and about a topic currently being discussed in Geography class but is either not current (older than 3 weeks), and/or too short (less than 5 paragraphs). A copy of the article was submitted with the report.
Below Standards

The article/source is from an unreliable source (search internet for list) Questions ask the teacher.
The article is about a topic currently being discussed in Geography but is not current and too short. A copy of the article was submitted with the report.
Does Not Meet Standards

The article/source chosen has no relevance to this Geography unit or current class topics. The article/source is from an unreliable source and was not submitted with report.

Meets Standards

The report is written/summarized in at least 3 paragraphs which contain at least 15-20 sentences. The summary is fluid and demonstrative of a clear understanding of the articles main idea.

The report/summary paragraphs are written in fewer than 3 paragraphs
The summary of the main idea and important details is lacking clarity or fluency.
Does Not Meet Standards

The report/summary is written in one paragraph, the source is plagiarized (cut and paste without citations) and there is no demonstration of clear understanding of the articles main idea.
Personal Reflection/Application

Meets Standards

Your reaction to the article is included in the report (at least 5-6 sentences), and explains your reactions and opinions to the information within the article clearly. It is evident that the main ideas were understood.

Your reaction to the article is included in the report, but is a little short (3-5 sentences). Your opinions and reactions to the information within the article are clearly explained. It is evident that the main ideas were understood.
Below Standards
