Immigrant Interview Assignment Rubric DB
Interview a family member, friend, or neighbor that remembers a story told to them about family immigrating to America. You should use a recorder or video camera during your interview. Oral Presentation
Students will be asked to obtain information about the tourism of one state in the US. They may use internet sources as well as tourist books and contact the state's tourist information center. Students will then prepare an oral presentation in which they will discuss the tourism for their given states. Each student will need to prepare note cards that have the following information: The source where you obtained the information, the author of that source, and the information from the source. The student will be graded on five criteria, These criteria are eye contact, vocal projection, knowledge of the topic, structure of the presentation and the note cards

Honda Geography Power Point Presentation
The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. The student will create a power point to present their chosen country. The student will use technology to conduct internet research in order to be able to present facts about their chosen country’s culture, government, religion, geography, political atmosphere, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc.

Religion Project
You will be choosing one of the following six religions from your textbook and creating a presentation. 1) Judaism 2) Hinduism 3) Buddhism 4) Confucianism 5) Christianity 6) Islam Presentation Tools that are recommended to use are Haiku Deck, Prezi, Google Slides, and Keynote. If using a different presentation tool check for approval.

Natural Disaster Project
Students will investigate a natural disaster. Student will discuss the causes of the natural disaster, the geographic location the disaster takes place, and the worst occurrences of this disaster.

International Travel Project
The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. Students will receive a 'International Travel Packet' packet to complete. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minimum of 3 countries for 2-5 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their chosen countries. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research, books and travel brochures in order to be able to answer questions about their chosen countries resources, culture, government, religion, geography, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a travel diary about their country and then present a brief 10-15 minute presentation to their classmates to go with their research.
