Students will then prepare an oral presentation in which they will discuss the tourism for their given states. Each student will need to prepare note cards that have the following information: The source where you obtained the information, the author of that source, and the information from the source. The student will be graded on five criteria, These criteria are eye contact, vocal projection, knowledge of the topic, structure of the presentation and the note cards

The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. Students will receive a 'International Travel Packet' packet to complete. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minimum of 3 countries for 2-5 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their chosen countries. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research, books and travel brochures in order to be able to answer questions about their chosen countries resources, culture, government, religion, geography, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a travel diary about their country and then present a brief 10-15 minute presentation to their classmates to go with their research.
