Poem - Rubric for an "I Am Poem" Presentation

Students are to write an I Am Poem using creative words and thoughts and create a Google Slide presentation. The subject of the poem is the student. 8 slides minimum (Include a cover and reference slide)! Inspired by George Ella Lyons', "Where I Am From."

Descriptions / ideas demonstrate some attempt at creativity.	Good Student uses good detail. Descriptions / ideas have demonstrate good attempt at creativity.	Excellent Student uses excellent. Descriptions / ideas demonstrate excellent creativity.
Grammar 5 pts Student shows evidence of editing work.	Poor Student writes with many errors. No evidence of editing.	Fair Student writes with no more than 4 errors.	Good Student writes with no more than three errors.	Excellent Student writes with one or two errors.
Neatness 5 pts Student has typed the poem and used a font that is easily seen during the presentation. Student has presented a neat and visually appealing poem, including graphics and animations on every slide.	Poor Words are difficult to read. There has been little attempt at neatness or visual clarity. Student has presented a neat and visually appealing poem, including graphics and animations on 4 or less slides.	Fair Fairly legible. Fair Student relies on the slides for most of the presentation (more than half).	Good Student uses the slides as a prompt for most slides but reads half of the slides.	Excellent Student uses the slides as a prompt for most of the presentation but reads 1-2 slides.
Elocution 5 pts Student utilizes great voice projection, a relaxed rate of speech, and correct pronunciation.	Poor Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of the class to hear.	Fair Student's voice is low and incorrectly pronounces terms.
