Position Statement	Good Position statement is clear and concise. The audience knows your stance on the topic.	Fair Position statement is vague and audience is unsure of position.	Poor Position statement is not present or is not about the topic.
Argument	Good Argument is substantiated by fact, details, or logic. Each point should be backed up by three different details.	Fair Argument has some fact or logic to it, but lacks elaboration.	Poor Argument is largely opinion and lacks fact or logic.
Organization	Good Paper is organized into introduction (with position), argument (body), and conclusion. Each point is in logical order. Nine to ten sentences per paragraph.	Fair Paper is organized into introduction (with position), argument (body), and conclusion. Seven to eight sentences per paragraph.	Poor There is very little organization to the paper, if any. Four to five sentences per paragraph.
