The students will create their own inventions, in different categories, with items students brought from home.

Invention	Excellent Excellently built prototype made of recycled materials.	Good Well built prototype mostly made out of recycled materials.	Fair Prototype is made out of few recycled materials and is built poorly.	Insufficient Prototype is not made out of recycled materials and is not completed.
Poster	Excellent Poster has all necessary information and is colorful, organized and well put together with a creative title of the invention.	Good Poster has most necessary information and is mostly organized and colorful. The title is included and some what creative.	Fair Poster is lacking some information and is not very organized and is lacking colors. The title is not creative or not present.	Insufficient Poster has no information whatsoever and is not organized nor creative. There is no title about the invention.
Usefulness	Excellent Overall, the student thoroughly described the helpfulness of their invention.	Good Overall, the student stated use for their invention.	Fair The student barely described the usefulness of their invention.	Insufficient The student was not able to describe the usefulness of their invention.
Creativity	Excellent Overall, the invention was very creative with a innovative use of recycled materials.	Good Overall, the invention was creative with a clever use recycled materials.	Fair Overall, the invention was simple with an unoriginal use of recycled materials.	Insufficient Overall, the invention was not creative and did not use recycled materials.
Presentation	Excellent Overall, the student gave a detailed engaging presentation regarding their invention and explained clearly and thoroughly how it was made and how it works.
