Overall Content
Excellent (B2)
The dialogue between characters makes sense and could be understood by native English speakers. It has a beginning, middle, and end and is easy to follow. It illustrates in a perfectly relevant way the direct examinations and cross-examinations in the Monster trial.
Good (B1)
The dialogue makes sense, for the most part. Most of it could be understood by a native speaker. It has a beginning, middle and end AND is relatively easy to follow. Matches well the story of Monster.
Satisfactory (A2)
The dialogue has some places where it does not make sense and, therefore, may not be comprehensible to a native speaker. It is missing one or more of the following: beginning, middle, end. Some incoherence with the story of Monster.
Poor (A1)
The dialogue does not make sense AND/OR is missing key elements and therefore is not easy to follow and is not comprehensible to a native speaker.
Creativity
Excellent (B2)
The dialogue is extremely creative. There is no other project quite like this one! The dubbing is meaningful and keeps the viewer interested.
Good (B1)
The dialogue is somewhat creative. There may be others that are somewhat alike. The dubbing is meaningful in parts and keeps the viewer interested.
Satisfactory (A2)
The dialogue not very creative. It is rather meaningful in some parts, but, overall, does not keep the viewer interested.
Poor (A1)
The dialogue is not creative at all. It is not meaningful AND/OR does not keep the viewer interested.
Grammar and vocabulary
Excellent (B2)
Speakers use grammatically correct sentences: correct verb tenses, correct pronouns and correct word order.
Excellent use of legal vocabulary, adding a personal touch to the conversation.
Good (B1)
Speakers use mostly grammatically correct sentences. There may be some minor errors with verb tenses, however pronouns are correct and word order is correct.
Satisfactory (A2)
Speakers make many minor and some major grammar errors: there are problems with verb conjugations, pronouns and word order.
Poor (A1)
Speakers do not use correct grammar, thus hindering the comprehension of the dialogue.
Pronunciation
Excellent (B2)
Excellent pronunciation. There are only three to five minor errors in pronunciation.
Good (B1)
Good pronunciation. There are six to eight minor errors.
Satisfactory (A2)
Fair pronunciation. There are six to eight minor errors, as well as three to five major errors.
Poor (A1)
Poor pronunciation. There are more than eight minor errors, as well as more than five major errors.
Fluency and tone
Excellent (B2)
Excellent fluency. Speech is natural, with no hesitations or unnecessary pauses.
The tone perfectly matches the feelings and emotions shown by the characters.
Good (B1)
Good fluency. Speech is natural, but there are one to two hesitations or unnecessary pauses.
The tone is rather engaging and matches the feelings and emotions shown by the characters.
Satisfactory (A2)
Fair fluency. Speech seems somewhat forced AND/OR there are several unnatural hesitations or pauses.
Words are sometimes broken down and the tone is not engaging.
Mostly reading.
Poor (A1)
Poor fluency. Speech is forced AND/OR there are many unnatural hesitations of pauses.
The tone is flat. Reading more than trying to act out a scene.
