Rocket Day Individual Presentation Rubric

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project for Rocket Day. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met. Graphs 40 % Deals with the Graphs section	Excellent Student chooses best type of graph AND expertly explains fully and completely the data AND why their choice of graph is best.	Good Student chooses the best type of graph for that data AND does a good job explaining what the graph shows.	Fair Student either doesn't choose the best type of graph for the data, OR doesn't explain the graph in enough detail.	Poor Student does not follow basic graphing checklist AND graph isn't the best choice OR student doesn't adequately explain it.
Substance 40 % Deals with the Lesson, Favorite and Improvement	Excellent Student does an excellent job using concrete examples AND applications in explaining their Lesson, Favorite, and Improvements.	Good Student does a good job using concrete examples OR applications in explaining their Lesson, Favorite, and Improvements.	Fair Student does an adequate explaining their Lesson, Favorite, and Improvements.	Poor Student does not address all sections of Lesson, Favorite, and Improvement.
Voice 20 % Actual communication with the class.	Excellent Speaker presents in a loud, clear confident voice and doesn't read from screen. The explanation is natural and complete.	Good Speaker presents in a loud, clear voice but turns to the screen occasionally. Explanation is complete.	Fair Speakers presents in a voice that is sometimes clear but constantly refers to the presentation.	Poor Speaker does not present in a loud or clear voice and reads simply from the presentation.
