Meets Standards The poster is neat and creative, but is missing 1 or more elements.	Approaching Standards The poster is not neat and or very creative and is missing key elements.	Below Standards Student did not make or complete a poster, or it is not neat and contains only one element.
Content	Exceeds Standards The report is factual and well researched. It is focused on three or more chosen fact and how this African-American influenced history.	Meets Standards The report is well researched. Some facts or examples need supporting details.	Approaching Standards The report is not clearly focused on the facts and it has one supporting detail about how the African-American has influenced our history.	Below Standards The report does not have a clear focus and shows little research with no supporting facts or how this African-American has influenced our history.
Presentation	Exceeds Standards Student's presentation. Spoke clearly, and seemed very knowledgeable of their subject.	Meets Standards Student seemed very knowledgeable but voice was too low during presentation.	Approaching Standards Student had to refer to notes during presentation or spoke too softly or not very clearly.	Below Standards Student does not seem to know what is going on or may have made up facts.
Grammar - oral and writing	Exceeds Standards Student speaks clearly, fluently and has good language skills,project cover has no misspelled words	Meets Standards Student makes 2-3 errors in language skills, project cover has 1-2 misspelled items.
