Cultural Country Heritage Rubric

The purpose of this cultural country heritage project is integrate content and technology as student trace their country of origin for their surnames. In turn, students will create a project on this country as well as an online gloster poster of their own local family traditions and customs. This project also serves the purpose of meeting the Georgia Professional Standards Skills Matrix for Map and Globe Skills and Information Processing Skills.

	Exceeds Standards Excellent work is defined as following all of the criterion and doing the best work you can do. 4 pts	Meets Standards Good work is defined as following most of the directions and doing the best you can do. 3 pts	Progressing Towards Standards Fair work is defined as making an effort, but not really doing your best work. You are capable of doing better. 2 pts	Does Not Meet Standards Poor work is defined as not doing a good job and no real effort was put forth. 1 pts
Number of Historical Facts 25 pts	Exceeds Standards Student has completed a project with 20-25 facts.	Meets Standards Student has completed a project of 15-19 facts.	Progressing Towards Standards Student has completed a project including 10-14 facts.	Does Not Meet Standards Student has completed a project with less than 10 definitions.
Quality of map information 20 pts	Exceeds Standards Student has provided correct information on more than 90% of the map features	Meets Standards Student has provided correct information on 81-90% of the map features	Progressing Towards Standards Student has provided correct information on 71-80% of the map features	Does Not Meet Standards Student has provided incorrect or incomplete information for more than 30% of the map features
Charts 10 pts	Exceeds Standards Student provides detailed, colored illustrations for all of the chosen facts.	Meets Standards Student provides detailed, colored illustrations for most of the chosen facts.	Progressing Towards Standards Student provides colored illustrations for about half of the chosen facts. However, it may have some errors that make it appear slightly messy.	Progressing Towards Standards Student has created a project that lacks an easily identifiable format. The list is not typed nor presented in any format. It is not organized well.	Does Not Meet Standards Student has created a project that lacks any identifiable format. The presentation is organized at all.
