Ideas/Content	Excellent -At least seven vocabulary words from the; at least four important people are being used and; Comic shows considerable originality and inventiveness. The content and ideas are presented in a unique and interesting way.	Good -One of the requirements is missing or incomplete. Comic shows some originality and inventiveness. The content and ideas are presented in an interesting way.	Fair -Two of the requirements are missing or incomplete. Comic shows an attempt at originality and inventiveness in some places, but otherwise is rather simplistic.	Poor - Three or more of the requirments are missing or incomplete. Comic shows very little attempt at original thought or presentation.
Plotline Quality	Excellent Plot is interesting and well developed, holds the reader's attention, and the story concludes with an appropriate ending, creating an exceptional ending.	Good Plot may be relatively interesting and will developed, but is somewhat lacking in depth and creativity. Also the ending could have been more appropriate.	Fair Plot may make some sense, but lacks appropriate creativity, depth and/or development, or otherwise isn't althogether interesting or easy to follow.	Poor There is no clear plan for the organization of information.
Illustrations	Excellent Work includes interesting and dynamic illustrations, full of rich imagery and vibrant use of either shading or color.	Good Work includes vibrant illustrations, using effective imagery enlivened with either shading or color.	Fair Work appears finished, but does not employ any particularly dynamic illustrations or effective use of shading or color.	Poor Work appears unfinished and little imagination has been used for the creation of illustrations, shading, or color.
Spelling and Grammar	Excellent Free from errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar.	Good Several minor errors in spelling, punctuation, or grammar.	Fair Enough errors in spelling, punctuation, or grammar to be noticeable.	Poor Enough errors in spelling, punctuation, or grammar to be distracting.
