Scoring Essay Drafts 
Writing tasks and all essay parts will be scored in all five criteria. Students must achieve-------- to pass the writing task / essay parts. criteria and 2 is a proficient score. Communication will be considered separately. If a student is not proficient in communication on 3 of the 5 parameters, the student may not pass the exam. Depending on the writing task, not all elements in each level of the criteria may be addressed.

Barely touching relevant content and not substantiating points.
Info is not always clear, many errors,but reader can understand some ideas.
Proficient

Addressing some of the main ideas, substantiates some points with accurate examples
Mostly easy to understand with some errors.
Exemplary

Main points are presented and well supported with facts and statistics.
Content has accuracy and useful info and examples.
Very clear,well written.
