	Excellent 4 pts	Good 3 pts	Fair 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Grammar & Vocabulary	Excellent Language is entirely accurate and may show playful features of the language (puns, metaphors, etc). Speaker has excellent control of language and is able to express complex ideas clearly and in an interesting way.	Good Speaker is mostly accurate and appropriate and is able to express their ideas clearly. The listener has no problem understanding the speaker.	Fair The speaker makes a number of lexical and grammatical errors and may depend too much on rehearsed phrases.	Poor The speaker has difficulty expressing themselves in anything other than short sentences. There are frequent hesitations or pauses while the speaker searches for the language they need to express themselves.
Fluency	Excellent Delivery is natural and so fluent that the speaker is a pleasure to listen to.	Good Delivery is fairly fluent, apart from the odd occasion when the speaker has forgotten a word, or has to think about a grammatical structure. It doesn't interfere with the storyline of the vlog.	Fair There is a degree of fluency, but the speaker stops often to process what they are going to say next. It interferes a little with the storyline of the vlog..	Poor Delivery is stilted and faltering. It interferes with the storyline of the vlog.
Pronunciation	Excellent The speaker articulates sounds clearly and correctly, and speaks with the appropriate word stress and intonation. The listener has no problems understanding what is being said. There are probably features of an accent, but they do not detract from understanding.	Good There is some influence of the first language on the speaker's articulation of sounds. Overall, this does not detract from what the speaker is saying and poses no comprehension problems.	Fair At times the listener has to work hard to understand what is being said.	Poor Pronunciation of words, word stress and/or intonation is so strongly influenced by the first language that the listener has frequent problems recognizing what the speaker is trying to say.
Extended Discourse Management	Excellent The speaker uses sophisticated language and/or strategies to guide the listener through the talk. The listener is fully able to follow the thread of what the speaker is saying.	Good The speaker uses standard textbook language to guide the listener through the tal, which is well organized.	Fair The speaker doesn't signpost all sections of presentation. The listener is able to follow the direction of the talk, but will have to interpret the flow and make assumptions about what the speaker is trying to say.	Poor The speaker places a heavy burden on the listener to follow the thread of the presentation, which is disorganized and incoherent.
Content	Excellent The speaker brings in everyday examples, memorable stories, or anecdotes to make the content more relevant or interesting to the listener. The storyline is excellent.	Good The speaker brings in relevant content to make the content interesting to the listener. There is a clear beginning-,middle-, and end to the story.	Fair The content is fairly predictable and expected - the listener may be fairly interested, but is left feeling the speaker could have included more interesting subject matter. There are some errors in the storyline.	Poor Content is uninteresting or completely unrelated to the topic. The storyline isn't clear.
Vlog quality	Excellent The Vlog is of excellent quality, students has followed all the steps. (sound, lighting, angle, background, movement, etc.)	Good The Vlog is of good quality. There are small problems with certain steps.	Fair The Vlog is fairly good of quality, not all the steps have been followed. There might be some mistakes with the sound, lighting, angle, background or movement.	Poor The Vlog is of bad quality, the speaker cannot be heard clearly, and there are problems with angle, lighting, background, and there is too much movement.
