Habitat Diorama Habitat Diorama and Presentation Build a diorama habitat out of a shoe box, or other suitable container. Make sure to make your animal’s habitat as realistic as possible including plants/trees found in the habitat, landscape features, predators, prey, and where your animal would find shelter. Habitat	Excellent Shoe box is completely covered, uses many different types of materials to shows habitat of animal.	Good Shoe box uses different materials. The habitat is identifiable.	Fair Shoe box uses different types of material. An animal is shown, but the habitat is not identifiable.	Poor Shoe box is not covered. Unable to determine habitat.
Research	Excellent The project content is exemplary and suggests the student has discovered the important ideas of his/her topic.	Good The project content is good and suggests the student has discovered most of the important facts on his/her topic.	Fair The project content is fair/poor and suggests the student has not discovered most of the important facts.	Poor The project content is poor and suggests the student has not done enough research.
Overall Neatness	Excellent Diorama shows no sign of damage or any tape showing. The diorama is neat and creative.	Good Diorama shows no sign of damage, and no tape showing. The diorama is slightly messy.	Fair Diorama is put together but shows some signs of damage or sloppiness.	Poor Diorama shows no effort of neatness.
