Book Creator Rubric

The rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your Book Creator project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for the assignment. Review of the rubric carefully before, during, and after the creation of the pages to ensure that all intended elements have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Text is easy to read. Half of the pages use graphics and effects to enhance presentation.	Developing Pages are easy to read. Amount of text is too great for the amount of space provided. Less than half the pages have graphics or effects.	Emerging The pages are not easy to read. The amount of text is too great for the space provided. There is little use of graphics or effects.
Grammar and Mechanics	Extending Capitalization and punctuation are correct throughout the book. There are no grammatical errors.	Proficient There is less than 2 grammatical error in the book.	Developing There are less than 4 grammatical errors in the book.	Emerging There are many grammar or mechanical errors in the book.
Use of Class Time / Collaboration	Extending Used time well during the class period. Focused on getting the product done. All group members were active participants and had pride in their work.	Proficient Used time well during the class period. Usually focused on getting the project done and never distracted others. Most group members were active participants and had pride in their work.	Developing Used some of the class time well during the class period. There was some focus on getting the project done but occasionally distracted others. The motivation level in your group was low.
