African American Scientist Research Project 
Students will research and create an multi-paragraph essay or a 1 paragraph summary of an African-American historical figure in the field of Science. Students will have the choice of project to choose between a multi-paragraph essay or a 1 paragraph summary of the figure's significant contributions to society along with an original artistic element such as a visual timeline, poster, comic strip or poem. All writing must be written clearly, with correct grammar, punctuation and spelling.
