Prepared for classwork Books, devices, writing equipment, worksheets and any homework assignments.	Instructional I am not ready when class begins. I need frequent prompts to borrow/find supplies needed to complete required tasks. Several homework assignments are missing. KEEP TRYING, YOU'LL GET THERE!	Emerging I am ready when teacher calls on/checks me. I usually have supplies needed to complete required tasks. I have the homework assignment with me but it is not completed. I have one or two missing assignments. YOU'RE GETTING THERE!	Independent I am ready for class without reminders and have supplies needed to complete tasks. I have my homework complete and is ready to turn in. I have no missing assignments. GREAT JOB!
Uses transition time well Moves from class to class within allotted time and switches activities during class.	Instructional I needed several reminders and prompts to move on to the next class activity. I was not staying with the pace of the class. I am tardy at least once a day. KEEP TRYING, YOU'LL GET THERE!	Emerging I needed 1-2 individual reminders to stop one activity and move on to the next task. I was slightly behind the pace of the class. I am tardy to a couple of classes a week. YOU'RE GETTING THERE!	Independent I transitioned independently from one activity to the next by listening to the teacher prompts and following directions. I kept pace with my peers in class. I am on time to all classes - not tardy! GREAT JOB!
Management of materials Organized and tidy using equipment appropriately	Instructional I have to be reminded more than once to put away or get out needed material. My papers are in a messy pile and are not organized by subject into folders. KEEP TRYING, YOU'LL GET THERE!	Emerging I have followed instructions and only needed one reminder to put away or get out material. I have almost all of my class papers organized in folders but have a few loose papers that need to be put away. YOU'RE GETTING THERE!	Independent I needed no reminders to manage materials. Papers for each class are kept in the correct folders. GREAT JOB!
Contribution to class I interact appropriately with peers and the teacher.	Instructional I sit in class quietly but do not offer to contribute to discussions or volunteer answers. I don't greet the teacher when I enter or leave the room. I don't make any eye contact with others. KEEP TRYING, YOU'LL GET THERE!	Emerging I will answer questions if I get called on. I try to work with a partner by looking at them and talking about the work. I try to remember to make eye contact or greet the teacher when entering or leaving. YOU'RE GETTING THERE!	Independent I contribute to classes by volunteering answers and talking with peers when I'm in a group. I regularly greet the teacher when I enter/leave a room. I make eye contact with others around me! GREAT JOB!
