Energy Conservation- Brochure and presentation rubric

The students will put together a brochure or comic life about the importance of conserving energy. Explain how to conserve energy. The importance of conserving as it pertains to our earth. The effects it has on our earth if we do not conserve energy.

Level 2 -Some relevant information is in the brochure/ comic life. -Information is presented in an unorganized fashion -Information does not stand out, and is not well-organized. Has 3-4 practical examples.	Level 1 -Brochure/ comic life has little to no information that is relevant. -Information is presented in an unorganized fashion. Has less than 2 practical examples.
Work effort	Level 4 -The work was done well, to the best of the students ability. -The students stayed on task. Exemplirary work was evident based on the final product. Work was extremely neat.	Level 3 -The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. -It is evident that time was put into this brochure/comic life based on the final product, some areas were not completely neat.	Level 2 -Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. -It is evident that the work was rushed based on the final product,	Level 1 -Work is done with little effort and the quality is still not what the learner is capable of completing. -It is evident that the student put little to no time into the project based on the final product.
Style/Mechanics	Level 4 -The brochure/comic life is creative, and is not just a list of facts. -The brochure is presented in a dynamic and concise manner with full understanding of the subject. Brochure/ comic life included personal style, 8-10 images and/or designs. Less then 5 grammatical errors.	Level 3 -The brochure/ comic life is clear and logical and contains facts as well as very few mistakes. Less than 5-8 grammatical erros. Few images on the presentation. -Good clear presentation.	Level 2 -The brochure/comic life has some pictures however they are not relevant to the content. -Some mistakes are made. 10 grammatical erros are made. -Little organization and clarity is used. -There is little style and reads more like a list of facts rather than a brochure/comic life. Little to no images or images that do not pertain to topic.	Level 1 -The brochure/ comic life lacks neatness and clarity -Brochure lacks style and -Information and pictures are not related to the topic. More than 10 grammatical errors are made. No images are on th presentation.
Presentation	Level 4 -The student presents the information in a clear and exciting manner showing complete understanding of their information. -It is evident that the student was well prepared.	Level 3 -The student presents the information clearly and displays a understanding of their information.
