Presentation Listening Skills Listening to Presentations Students Listen to presentations being delivered by presenter and are graded on being a good audience member. Rubric Code: NXB468W By Mtdaigle Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Business Type: Presentation Grade Levels: 9-12

Listening
	Exceeds the Standard 4 pts	Satisfies the Standard 3 pts	Improving to Meet Standard 2 pts	Not Meeting Standard 0 pts
Sounds 4 pts	Exceeds the Standard Total silence, except for appropriate clapping or response to the presentation (i.e. laughing at funny parts).	Satisfies the Standard Quiet (but made a slip, or two, i.e. whispered to neighbour or other noises).	Improving to Meet Standard Noisy or talks, or whispers more than 1 time.	Not Meeting Standard Consistantly noisy, and/or talks or whispers loudly, distracting others/self.
Distracting Movements 4 pts	Exceeds the Standard No inappropriate movements.	Satisfies the Standard Fidgets but does not bother neighbour. Does movements that are not appropriate to listening to the presentation.	Improving to Meet Standard Sits, but moves around and distracts neighbours or fidgets.	Not Meeting Standard Moving around room or consistently distracting neighbours/self. Teacher has to stop the presentation to ask student to stop distracting others/self.
Full Attention 4 pts to Presenter or Teacher	Exceeds the Standard Gives full attention with eyes, body, and mind for the duration of the presentation.	Satisfies the Standard Attention given most of time with eyes, body, and mind.	Improving to Meet Standard Attention is divided.	Not Meeting Standard Attention is given to less than half of the presentation.
