HOS Internship PowerPoint Presentation Rubric

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Content	Excellent 10 slides minimum required, which include title and works cited slides. Slides included with correct information. Internship is discussed clearly and in an organized manner.	Good 9-7 required slides with relevant information. Internship is somewhat discussed but more information is required.	Fair 6-4 slides with relevant information. Internship is slightly discussed but more material is needed.	Poor Less than 3 slides OR slides do not contain relevant information. Internship is not addressed or clear.
Presentation/Graphics	Excellent Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. Less than 20 words per slide with 24 font or larger. Graphics and effects are used throughout to enhance presentation. One or more video clips included. No technical difficulties.	Good Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. More than 20 words per slide with 24 font or less. More than half of the slides use graphics and effects to enhance presentation. No video clip. No technical difficulties.	Fair Slides are easy to read. More than 30 words per slide with 24 font or less. Amount of text is too great for the amount of space provided. Less than half the slides have graphics or effects. No video clip. Grammar and Mechanics	Excellent Capitalization and punctuation are correct throughout the presentation. There are no grammatical errors. Voice & Engagement	Excellent Speaker presents in a loud, clear voice and doesn't read from screen. No verbal errors. Engaged audience.	Good Speaker presents in a loud, clear voice but turns to the screen occasionally. Few verbal errors. Semi-engaged audience.	Fair Speakers presents in a voice that is sometimes clear but constantly refers to the presentation. Many verbal errors. Did not engage audience.
