News Reports Using Green Screen and iMovie

After investigating the structure and organization of the news, students will write, film, and edit a news-like report that creatively teaches our current math concept to the class.

News Story Presentation

The newscast begins with an introduction of the topic and includes at least three of the lead questions (Who, What, Where, and When). May include Why or How.	C Topic is newsworthy (even if it is fictitious). The newscast begins with an introduction of the topic and includes at least two of the lead questions (Who, What, Where, and When).	D Newsworthiness is unclear. Begins with a loose reference to the topic; leaves out more than one of the lead questions.	E Topic is not newsworthy. Introduction is not relevant to the topic.

Oral Presentation Elocution	A Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of words/terms so that all audience members can hear presentation. C Student’s voice is low-medium, incorrectly pronounces some terms, audience still has some difficulty hearing presentation.	D Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms.
