Create your own hanging mobile that teaches volume/engineering strategies. Your mobile must have 6 different rectangular prisms and cubes, arranged in a creative way. You must use your knowledge of volume to keep your mobile balanced on all sides.

Using cardboard boxes of a variety of sizes, design a hands-on volume calculation game for small groups of students to play. Make sure the game is fun, but also clearly teaches the concept of calculating the volume of rectangular prisms. Be sure your game incorporates the using of cubes to fill up the space in the boxes, and it also incorporates estimating volume, as well as actual volume calculation. Be prepared to have your classmates play your game.

Your poetry book must also include a glossary of the six terms and an introductory letter explaining why you picked your theme for each poem and how it relates to your book. Students will also include an illustration that best represents the overall poetry book’s theme for the front cover.
