Good MOST notes follow correct format as explained on the PLC Note Taking Guide.	Adequate Less than 1/2 of notes follow the correct format. as modeled in class,	Novice Format and organization is not evident.
LITERARY CONTENT	Excellent Notes clearly include the name of the author, the date the selection was written, the type of selection, definition of literary terms and/or poetic devices, a main character description, and a plot summary.	Good Notes are missing one of the literary content elements.	Adequate Notes are missing two of the literary content elements.	Novice Notes are missing three (or more) of the literary content elements.
GRAMMAR & USAGE	Excellent Notes include the title of the lesson, definition of terms, an explanation, and examples of correct usage.	Good Notes are missing one of the grammar and usage elements.
