Activity 3 Rubric

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint activity project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Content quality Graphics Text Layout	Excellent Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. All content is appropriate and enhances topic throughout. Backgrounds do not impede presentation. Transitions and animations are logical and professional. All of the criteria on the Presentation Tips checklist have been met.	Good Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. Minimal errors of positioning or size of elements but do not interfere with text. All elements are appropriate for topic. Transitions or animations may be occasionally "busy". Most of the criteria on the Presentation Tips checklist have been met.	Fair Graphics and layout sometimes interfere with presentation of text. Text size may be too large or small to be read easily. Some graphics do not relate to topic. Animations cause lists to be out of order. Some of the criteria on the Presentation Tips checklist have been met.	Poor Graphics often do not relate to content. Text is often difficult to read. Animations or transitions get in the way of smooth presentation. Few of the criteria on the Presentation Tips checklist have been met.
Design elements All slides must have: Background Text Graphic Animation Transition	Excellent All slides include each of the required elements.	Good Individual elements missing on 2 or less slides, or multiple elements missing on one slide.	Fair Individual elements missing on more that 2 slides or multiple elements missing on more than one slide.	Poor More than half of the slides are missing design elements.
Grammar and Mechanics Capitalization of text Punctuation	Excellent Capitalization and punctuation are correct throughout the presentation. There are no grammatical errors.	Good There are less than 2 grammatical or mechanical errors on the presentation.	Fair There are less than 4 grammatical or mechanical errors on the presentation.	Poor There are many grammar or mechanical errors on the presentation.
Activity 3 elements Custom Bullets	Excellent Bulleted lists are correct as per instructions throughout the presentation. There are no errors.	Good There are less than 2 errors of the Activity 3 elements.	Fair There are less than 4 errors of the Activity 3 elements.	Poor There are numerous errors of the Activity 3 elements
