Level 4	Ideas Clear and focused.<BR> Holds the reader's attention.<BR> Fun and original idea.	Organization The central idea is showcased.<BR> The flow is smooth.<BR> Good pace not changing.<BR> Good transitions.	Voice Reader is invited into the story.	Sentence Fluency Has an easy flow.<BR> Uses different sentence styles.<BR> There is a rhythm when reading.	Word Choice Keeps the story interesting. Words enhance the meaning of the story.<BR> High Energy.	Conventions Spelling is correct, grammar is correct , capitalization is correct.
Level 3	Ideas Reader is left in question about some things.<BR> Knows where the story is headed.	Organization The reader has 1 or 2 questions, but able to understand the story.<BR> Well paced needs stronger changing phrases.	Voice Mixed between being involved and standing by.	Sentence Fluency Some variety in sentences.	Word Choice Good Energy.<BR> Word variety is coming together.	Conventions Small errors in spelling, grammar, and capitaliztaion
Level 2	Ideas Starting to develop an idea. <BR> Reader is left with many questions	Organization The reader can move through the story with little struggle.<BR> Pace is controlled, but pace changes 1 or 2 times.	Voice Not fully involved, but enough to connect with the reader.	Sentence Fluency Sentences are structured, but little variety.<BR> 1 or 2 awkward moments.	Word Choice Lacks eneregy. <BR> Has 1 or 2 strong moments. <BR> Uses everday parts of speech.	Conventions End punctuations is missing or wrong. <BR> Most capitalization is correct. Grammar problems not serious.
Level 1	Ideas Not sure what the main idead is.<BR> Very broad statements.	Organization Has a hard time reading the story.<BR> Not sure. The story is moving quicly, then slowly, not at a steady pace.	Voice Starting to engage the reader, but still lacks involvement in the story.	Sentence Fluency Slightly choppy sentences. <BR> No variety in sentences. <BR> Awkward at times.	Word Choice Low energy. <BR> Showing some variety in words.	Conventions Many errors in 2 or more areas.
