Explorer Research project

The students will put together a Media pesentation to show during their oral presentation. The presentation will contain information that the students collected regarding their European explorer. The presentation must be aligned with the Media Project.

Content/Organization	Exceeds The media project includes all information relevant to the explorer in a detailed and organized fashion that exceeds expectations	Good Media project includes all relevant information; and is well-organized.	Fair Does not have all of the relevant information about the explorer. There is not enough detail and it is presented in an unorganized fashion	Poor The Media Project is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented about the explorer.
Research Process	Exceeds The work done exceeds all expectations and shows all the steps of the research process.	Good The work was done with good effort and shows all the steps of the research process .	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but some of the steps of the research process have been left out. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Poor Work is done with little effort. Student did not follow the steps of the research project. Work is incomplete.
Creativity	Exceeds The Media Project has an element of creativity and style, and is not just a list of facts. The Project is presented in a clear and concise manner with full understanding of the explorer.	Good The Media Project is clear and logical and contains facts as well as very few mistakes. Good clear presentation.	Fair The Media project lacks style and reads more like a list of facts than an oral presentation. The Project lacks neatness and clarity.	Poor The Media Project lacks a clear understanding of the explorer and their are many errors. Project is not creative.
Presentation	Exceeds The student speaks clearly and presents their information in a clear and concise mannor that exceeds all expectations	Good The student speaks clearly and presents good clear organized information that meets all expectations.	Fair There are several confusing moments and the information about the explorer presented is not complete. The student has not practiced what is to be said.	Poor No preparation was done for the presentation and the information that is presented lacks many elements of what is expected.
