Cultural Holiday In French-Speaking Countries

You will research and present a French holiday celebration. You will present information using a powerpoint. Your information will include the following... • Historical background information • Basic belief system • Rituals, services, or ceremonies • Symbolism • Holidays, festivals and celebrations You will include graphics with the information in order for your audience to have a better understanding. You will also include a visual aid that will further enhance understanding.

Good Audience has occasional difficulty following presentation because student jumps around.	Excellent Student presents information in logical sequence which audience can follow.	Outstanding Student presents information in both logical and interesting sequence which audience can follow.
Subject Knowledge	Poor Student shows significant gaps in subject knowledge.	Fair Student shows some misunderstandings of information.	Good Student is somewhat unfamiliar with the information and is only able to read the information instead of presenting it.	Excellent Student is at ease with the information and presents information more than just reading it.	Outstanding Student demonstrates knowledge of the information with explanations and elaboration that enhance the presentation.
Language Competency and Accuracy	Poor Unable to understand the content due to language inacuracy	Fair So many spelling mistakes and language structures not respected	Good Language competency is average. It is generally watchable and readable, but is not overly memorable.	Excellent Vocabulary and grammar are accurate with just a few flaws.
