Historical Component	Good All historical information is accurate and the character shows depth, detail and a deep understanding of the portrayed person and his/her societal role.	Fair Historical concepts are accurate and there is evidence of specific research that supports the character.	Poor The historical information shows concepts students knew with limited research research.
Role playing	Good Student stays in character the entire time and communicates effectively.	Fair Student attempts to stay in character, but drops in and out often.	Poor Student is in character briefly and sporadically.
Props and Participation	Good The student has name sign for both people and gave 3 or more comments during discussions.	Fair The student has name sign for one person and gave less than 3 comments during discussions.	Poor Missing name signs and comments were minimal.
Point of View	Good Student references a specific idea or primary document in order to make the character more well rounded and helps to explain why the person answered questions the way they did.	Fair The student's performance illustrates some reference of an idea or primary document in order to explain their point of view.	Poor There is little evidence of ideas or primary document analysis to help show the unique point of view of this historical figure.
