Touchstones Connections Rubric

The Reading Reflection is a way for students to think about their own personal experiences and make connections between the reading content and the world in a broader context. Students will explore situations/themes/big questions and think about what kind of connection to make as well as how they would like to present this connection using VoiceThread.

Application 10 pts	Beginning Student reflects on experiences, however connections made are not strong or well explained.	Progressing Student reflects on experiences and makes a connection to the reading that is somewhat strong and well explained.	Proficient Reflections include analyzing the connections between specific experiences/material. The connection is strong, well explained and shows a strong understanding of the subject.	Exemplary Reflections include an analysis of the connections between experiences and the reading theme.
