	Beginning 2 pts	Emerging 3 pts	Proficient 4 pts	Excelling 5 pts
Organization	Beginning Audience has difficulty following presentation because student jumps around or cannot understand presentation because there is no sequence of information.	Emerging Student presents information but the sequence is not logical, making it hard for audience to understand.	Proficient Student presents information in logical sequence which audience can follow.	Excelling Student presents information in logical, interesting sequence which audience can follow.
Content	Beginning Content is weak or missing. Facts are inaccurate. Student should have research in more depth.	Emerging Student is uncomfortable with information, however message can be heard.	Proficient Student is at ease with content and has an easy flow within the message.	Excelling Student demonstrates full knowledge of the topic and engages the audience with enthusiasm.
Volume and Clarity	Beginning Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for viewing audience to hear or unable to hear student.	Emerging Student's voice is low. Student incorrectly pronounces terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing	Proficient Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear with little effort.	Excelling Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms. Student is enthusiastic. All viewing audience can hear without effort.
Music	Beginning Limited or no use of music resources.	Emerging Music may lack organization and structure, but effort is shown to accompany the product and stimulate the buyer’s mind.	Proficient Music is appropriate for the jingle & fits within the parameters of the presentation.	Excelling Music drives the commercial in an innovative way. It's a unique idea with exciting music and appeals to the masses.
Presentation	Beginning Student is unable to explain commercial content and doesn't present	Emerging Student explains commercial but does not make eye contact and is hard to understand.	Proficient Student explains content and makes eye contact.	Excelling Student explains content, makes eye contact and keeps audience attention.
