Snowflake Rubric
	4 pts	3 pts	2 pts
Make symmetrical folds	4 Students followed directions and folds are symmetrical.	3 Folds are off a little but student still folded best to his/her ability.	2 Folds are not correct, they are not symmetrical and not completed to his/her abiltiy.
Symmetrical-Cut	4 Student followed directions and cut out all the same shapes on either side to the best to his/her abilty.	3 Student did not complete directions and had some of the same shapes on either side, not completed to the student's ability.	2 Student did not follow the directions and none of the cut out shapes were symmetrical
Symmetrical-details	4 Student make his/her snowflake unique and is very creative. Snowflake is symmetrical.	3 Student put forth little effort in decorating his/her snowflake, however it is still symmetical.	2 Student put forth no effort and snowflake is not complete.
Reading-Instructions	4 Instructions were followed, protractor was used to create symmetry. The snowflake is round and there is not a large hole in the center.	3 Student followed most of the directions, but missed one or two steps.	2 Students did not use the instructions as evidenced by a square snowflake, a large hole in the center, or a cut up piece of paper that does not resemble a snowflake.
