1.Subject Link	Low No subject	Intermediate Attempt at subject, but needs improvement	High Subject is adequate and appropriate
2.Greeting	Low No Greeting	Intermediate Attempt at greeting, but needs improvement	High Greeting is adequate and appropriate
3.Content (Body)	Low -Message is unclear or disorganized. -Demonstrates a lack of understanding of the assignment.	Intermediate -Message is mostly clear.	High -Message is clear and demonstrates understanding of task. -Letter may not encourage a response from the reader.
4.Grammar, mechanics, & spelling	Low There are numerous errors in grammar, mechanics, and/or spelling. Errors prevent reader from fully understanding the email.	Intermediate There are several errors in grammar, mechanics, and/or spelling. Errors sometimes interfere with understanding.	High There are more frequent errors in grammar, mechanics, and/or spelling, but they do not interfere with understanding
5.Closing & Name	Low No Closing Message or Name	Intermediate Includes closing, but no name. OR Includes name, but no closing	High Closing and Name are included
