Intermediate The student summarized the text using some of the most important events and supporting details.	Correct The student summarized the text using all of the most important events and supporting details.
Sequence	Beginner The student did not put the events and supporting details in correct order. The summary lacked organization or used organization that confused the events and their supporting details. The summary did not make sense.	Intermediate Some of the events and supporting details are in the correct order. It was a little difficult to understand the sequence of events	Correct The text was paraphrased in an order that made sense, making it easy to understand.
Length	Beginner The student wrote too much and simply quoted the lecture or text. The student wrote too little .	Intermediate The student included most of the important events, but left some important information out.	Correct The student included all of the important events. Student did not include unimportant information.
Mechanics/Neatness	Beginner The notes included many spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and/or grammar errors. The notes were illegible.	Intermediate Some of the notes were corrected for spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and/or grammar errors. The notes were legible, but not neat.
