Haiku Poem Rubric

Students will make their own Haiku Poem by following the 5-7-5 pattern. Students will include illustrations that match their topic.

Spelling and Grammar	Poor Student has 4 or more spelling/grammar errors.	Fair Student has 2 or 3 spelling/grammar errors.	Good Student has one spelling/grammar error.	Excellent Student has no spelling/grammar errors.
Syllables Line 1- 5 syllables<BR> Line 2- 7 Syllables<BR> Line 3- 5 Syllables	Poor Poem has no lines that follow the syllable pattern.	Fair Poem has 1 line that follows the syllable pattern.	Good Poem has 2 lines that follow the syllable pattern.	Excellent Poem has 3 lines that accurately follow the syllable pattern.
