Rubric - Digestive System Model

Construct a model of the digestive system using clay and household items. Use original materials (not a store bought model) to construct the system.

Organization	Excellent Model is very well organized and the reader can see the system clearly from beginning to end	Good Model is organized but one or two items do not fit well in the system layout	Fair Model is loosely organized with more than two parts that do not fit well in the system layout	Poor Model is not organized and there is no system evident meaning there is no flow or system layout.
Collaboration Skills: Partnership	Excellent Students worked well by distributing tasks/jobs prior to beginning. Partnership was mutually agreed upon and students worked through all problems appropriately.	Good Students worked well by distributing most tasks/jobs prior to beginning. Most problems were taken care of while working together.	Fair Some problems arose due students not understanding which person was responsible for a job. Tasks got done but with some difficulty	Poor Students did not plan their work by assigning tasks first. There was considerable work not completed because of this lack of understanding in the partnership.

Neatness	Excellent Model is neatly assembled and clay/colouring is balanced in size and proportional to the paper and original student sketches of organs. Students used rulers and erased all errant pencil marks. Writing is neat.	Good Model is mostly neat in assembly and use of clay/colour. Some difficulty arose for use of rulers, colour and balance of proportions for organs. Writing is somewhat neat.	Fair Model is nice, but lacking serious effort in terms of neatness for both modelling clay and colouring. Use of a ruler is only modestly evident; the student forgot to use a ruler properly for some labels. Writing is mostly messy/unclear.	Poor Model is seriously lacking any effort toward neatness in the use of clay, colour, rulers or writing. Model parts and labels are difficult to clearly see due to neatness
