PSA Poster Project 
A Public Service Announcement is used to deliver messages to the public, often about health or safety. The topic of your poster is VAPING The audience is your age group (middle school) The purpose is to inform about vaping, including risks, consequences, and where to get help. Your PSA Must: • Be informative • Show understanding on the effects vaping on the body • Include a title, facts, relevant terms and visuals • Include tips and resources

Good use of visuals on poster with captions. Visuals are creative and colorful and reflect the seriousness of the project. Font size and style are well thought out.
Exceptional

Poster is eye-catching. The chosen visuals thoughtfully relate to the information included. A variety of font style and size are used in a way to add to the overall appeal of the poster.
Organization & Content

Unsatisfactory

Poster is unclear in the message. Poster reflects little time or effort in organization. The information does not make sense to the reader. Did not include any factual data. Information has been cut and pasted.
Satisfactory

Message of the poster is evident. A few spelling or grammatical mistakes. Some factual data evident, but lacks organization and detail. Infformation is cut and pasted.
Outstanding

Poster has an effective message. with true/factual infomation. Title and other writing is easy to understand. Little or no spelling or grammar errors. Great effort on organization. Information is communicated in your own words.
Exceptional

Poster has a clear message. Title, caption, body information are all uniquely communicated to empasize the message. Flawless spelling and grammar. Organization of poster is exceptional. Information is is your own words, and good connections have been made.
Overall criteria for project

Unsatisfactory

Did not follow directions. Not visually appealing. Unclear message.
Satisfactory

Followed some instruction. Bland/boring in appearance. Some relevant information.
Outstanding

Followed instructions almost to the letter. Visually appealing, with factual and/or relevant information. Can understand what concern is being addressed.
Exceptional

Went above and beyond the instructions. Poster is visually appealing, clear, and to the point.
Relevant Terms

Unsatisfactory

Has no relevant terms in the poster or handout. Viewer has no clue about the topic and what they are supposed to learn.
Satisfactory

Poster has 1-2 terms that are relevant to the topic. Viewer somewhat understands what the topic is.
Outstanding

Has 3 or more relevant terms about the topic. The viewer knows exactly what message you are trying to tell them in the piece of work.
Exceptional

Has 5 or more relevant terms and tips about the topic. The viewer is clear about the message.
