Students will reconstruct the processes of meiosis. All steps in meiosis must be labeled correctly and identifiable. Stop Motion Studio or any app of your choice may be used to make a digital stop-motion animation (similar to a digital flipbook). Students may choose their materials for the reconstruction.

This rubric is to be used with most science foldable activities unless the student is told differently.

You have been given the task of creating a volcano-proof home. You must design and build a structure that is volcano-proof. This includes A drawing of your home volcano-proof features labeled in both words and pictures Inventory of supplies. Electric, water, and HVAC diagrams to show how everything works. And a map of your volcanic island and the location of your house.

Science students must complete thoughtful journal entries using scientific vocabulary and critical thinking.

Students need to have journal entries for science classes. Have journal entry questions and responses All stray papers must be stapled into journal notebook

Students will create a diorama of a food chain in an animal's habitat and write descriptions of the food chain, food web, habitat, and ecosystem.

The students will work to put together a poster based on research for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to their research. Students will collect pictures and other artifacts for their project to create a creative and colorful project either digitally or by hand.

Research the approved synthetic material using the guiding questions. Submit double spaced, 12 point font following MLA guidelines. Include a bibliography citing resources used when researching the paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.

This project is worth a total of 100 points Students will work in groups of four to research one renewable energy source. They will role play as a company attempting to pitch their energy source at a trade show. They will be responsible for being knowledgeable on facts and figures on their energy source, as well as creating a Google Slides to communicate and further their presentation.

Students will work with a partner to create a simulation or model of an energy transformation. Students will research, plan, carry out the math calculations for the energy transformation between potential and kinetic energy using the formulas, create the data tables to collect information and draw the graphs. They will include the analysis and conclusion as they present their model to the class.

This rubric will be used by students as a self-evaluation tool. The teacher will also use this rubric to assess student classroom participation and behavior

This rubric is aimed at evaluating the PERFORMANCE of a lab experiment, rather than the REPORT. **The REPORT is graded using a separate score scale.**

This rubric has been designed to assess student's on task performance during classroom instruction. Students may gain or lose points. This rubric is completed weekly.

Students will have a notebook check once per quarter.
