Grading rubric for Body Systems research project/assignment. The project includes completion of basic research, citing sources in MLA format, and addresses all information that must be included about the particular organ system chosen.

Rubric for scoring woodworking projects.

Student will design and construct a cardboard and duct tape boat. Boat must be designed and constructed using acceptable construction practices, and specified materials. Areas to be judged will be design, presentation; principles of construction; buoyancy/displacement physics, and construction efforts.

Student will design and construct a Catapult that will throw a ping pong ball. The catapult will be judged on both accuracy and distance with the results being calculated by a spreadsheet.

Students will research the history of catapults and similar devices then build one. Students will be able to calculate the velocity of their catapult using kinematic equations. Students will use kinematic equations to adjust catapult to hit a given target.

RESEARCH PAPER GUIDELINES The research paper is to be 3 pages, double-spaced and must cite all academic sources. Grades will be assigned using points based on: 1. Adherence to research methodology, 2. Communication of research findings, summary conclusions, and 3. Accuracy in spelling, grammar, and proper format. RESEARCH PRESENTATION GUIDELINES Each student will complete a visual presentation and will be graded on clear verbal and visual communication of the research and findings.

The purpose is to tell your reader how to do or make something. This rubric scores the written instructions, and may be used with a rubric on presenting those instructions.

The student will create an original artwork using two point perspective.
