Students will create a Chibi version of a monster/villian from a movie, show, or animated series. Students will manipulate, layers, objects, fill, stroke, shape builder, Pen Tool, etc to create said Chibi. Final product will be a PDF to be printed on a Roland VG-540 printer. Students will create a sticker sheet with Chibi, and items associated with monster/villian to be printed following after.

The students will develop, design and create a Chinese Zodiac collage animation using Adobe Illustrator/After Effects. Students will create & manipulate, layers, shapes, text, colors, shape builder, pathfinder,[Ai] timeline, tweens, images, texts [Ae] to create said animation. Students will use the given links to gather their info in a "Pre-work" assignment that sets the foundation prior to starting in Adobe After Effects/Illustrator.

Passion Projects

CHALLENGE: To create the first mobile app for an Android device. PROJECT OBJECTIVE(S): students will obtain an introductory experience with React Native, Thunkable, or UiZard to design and create an App that addresses a problem statement.

The students will collaborate with a teacher/mentor of choice (client) to develop, design and create a celebrity crush design using Illustrator, by way of creating and manipulating, shapes, text, colors, shape builder, vectored images, and utilizing the button template in Adobe Illustrator. Students will also create & design a sticker sheet for said person as well. It should be unique to them.

The students will collaborate with a teacher/mentor of choice (client) to develop, design and create an infographic design (About Me, but them) using Illustrator, by way of creating and manipulating, shapes, text, colors, shape builder, pathfinder, layers, vectored images, with Adobe Illustrator. Students will also create & design a sticker sheet for said person as well. It should be unique and "personifies" their client/teacher/mentor.

The students will collaborate with a teacher/mentor of choice (client) to develop, design and create a window/door cover design using Illustrator, by way of creating and manipulating, shapes, text, colors, shape builder, vectored images, and utilizing the button template in Adobe Illustrator. Students will also create & design a sticker sheet for said person as well. It should be unique to them.

The completion of the website design will conclude with each student group completed website to the teacher for review. Each website will be graded according to the following rating scale.

Graphic Design 2. Students are to create a family crest of their family (if unhappy with current family) their future family, or crest between friends of what they believe and value in. Students are to create final product in Adobe Illustrator.

The students will collaborate with a teacher of choice (client) to develop and design a door cover design using Illustrator and/or Photoshop. Students grade will depend on feedback from their client.

The completion of the website design will conclude with each student a completed website to the teacher for review. Each website will be graded according to the following rating scale.

The students will develop and design a CD Cover utilizing their PhotoShop skills. They must create the front and back cover with the supplied starter file. It will be printed, & students will cut & place in a jewel case.

SWBAT playing cards based on cultural mythical references. (i.e. taking a design from Loteria and making that into a actual card..) Students will utilize layers, grouping, shape builder, text & other various tools to create their design. Students will need to use texture in their design as well.

SWBAT create a portrait design using Adobe Illustrator in the style of "Shepard Fairey's OBEY" style. Students will reference videos such as "https://youtu.be/qFDCoyX-xqY?t=132" Students will need to source high quality image/assets to use as reference and use a custom font of their choice. Students will utilize layers, grouping, shape builder, text & other various tools to create their design. Students will need to use texture in their design as well.
