The student work cooperatively to research a bridge.

Students will be given an animal and research the unique characteristics about this animal. Students will be writing about their animal, and design a presentation to aid them when sharing the traits of their animal. The presentation should tell about where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, and other interesting facts about the animal.

Student will complete planning packet for WEB holiday event. Must demonstrate planning skills, budget, sketch, directions, implementation, and evaluation.

Students must create a map of a city. The city must have a name, and all land marks should be labeled. The map must include 4 angles, 6 lines, 3 triangles, 2 squares, 2 rectangles, 1 cubes, 1 cylinder, and at least 1 pyramid.

This rubric will be used to determine if students understand the attributes of solid figures.

Students will use a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the attributes of two polygons.

The 2nd grade student will complete an All About Me book about themselves. They must include: 5 basic facts about themselves (ie - birthday, number of siblings, where they were born); 5 of their hobbies and/or dislikes; 5 goals that they have for the future. They must include 3 drawn pictures of themselves depicting any of the things discussed in their book (ie - a picture of themselves playing their favorite sport, a picture of themselves celebrating a holiday with their family, etc.)

This rubric is for first grade students who will create their own story problems, present the problem, and show others how they solved the problem.

Task: Students will write an autobiography informing others about themselves.

Grab a brown bag or a gift bag. Choose one that is appropriate for your project. The outside of your bag should contain the title and author of the book, your name and class period, and an illustration of the setting as well as a summary of the story. Inside the bag, you should have, pictures of characters, two or three vocabulary words with definitions, and a book review/recommendation. You may also include 2-3 items that are representative of the main character, setting, story or theme. Remember, I do not grade whether or not you are a "good" artist. I look at your effort.

Get students to identify parts of a story to put in a summary.

Students create a picture of fractional parts of a group. The students also demonstrate solving fractional parts of a group using computation.

This rubric is for daily math journal responses (specifically for second grade)

Students will build a model of a volcano and will be assessed on journal entry, creation, clean-up and behavior components.
