Supporting Reasons	Poor No reasons are given to support position.	Fair One reason given to support position.	Good Two reasons given to support position.	Excellent Three reasons given to support position.
Opposing View/Counter Argument	Poor Has no opposing view or counter argument	Fair Opposing view was presented, but not argued against.	Good Opposing view presented and argued, but not against writer's original position.	Excellent Opposing view presented and successfully refuted through supporting counter argument
