Quality of Questions & Answers 20 pts	Needs Work The questions are confusing and lack meaning. The responses are vague and reveal very little.	Fair The questions are somewhat meaningful and incite adequate responses.	Good The questions are probing, meaningful, and promote insightful responses.
Overall Flow of Interview 20 pts	Needs Work The questions are random and do not have the structure of a good interview. The responses are vague and reveal no new information.	Fair The questions have a somewhat unnatural flow from one to the next. The responses are adequately constructed and reveal already-known information.	Good The questions make a natural transition from one to the next. The responses reveal important information about the life of the Chinese person.
Grammar, spelling 20 pts	Needs Work The interview has many grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors.	Fair The interview has very few (3-4) mechanical errors.	Good The interview has no more than two mechanical errors.
