Supporting Details 33.3 %	Beginning The students did not use enough of the important main ideas and supporting details from the lecture or text or gave too much information that wasn't important.	Approaching The students identified some of the most important supporting details.	Proficient The students identified most of the significant supporting details.	Advanced The students identified all of the significant supporting details
Summarization 33.3 %	Beginning The students wrote too much and simply quoted or referred to much of the text.	Approaching The students shortened the text and included most of the important ideas, but also included additional unneeded information.	Proficient The students included all of the important ideas, but were not concise.	Advanced The students presented the important information in a concise, clear, format.
