Hypothesis	Exceeds Standard Hypothesis clearly states a prediction based on general knowledge and observation.	Meets Standard Partial or incomplete hypothesis given.	Doesn't Meet Standard No hypothesis given.
Materials	Exceeds Standard Material list is complete.	Meets Standard Material list is missing more than one or two items.	Doesn't Meet Standard Materials are not listed.
Investigation	Exceeds Standard Procedure is complete and accurate. Another student could follow this lab.	Meets Standard Procedure is somewhat complete and accurate. Another student could follow this lab with support.	Doesn't Meet Standard Procedure is incomplete, inaccurate or missing. It is difficult to follow the sequencing. It is evident that little thought went into this lab.
Observations / Data	Exceeds Standard Observations and data are complete and accurate with specific details that tie the question and hypothesis to the overall results.
