Presentation and Tri-Fold Poster: Reading Fair Project Presentation and Tri-Fold Poster: Space Program Students will a tri-fold poster project based on a fiction or nonfiction book of their choice. Each student will prepare a tri-fold poster to represent their book. Each student will have the option of presenting their project for extra points. Presentation/Poster
	Poor 4 pts	Fair 8 pts	Excellent 10 pts
Content of Poster Title, author, publisher/publication date, main characters, setting, plot summary, conflict, solution/resolution, author's purpose, tone, mood.	Poor Substantially lacks relevant information and contains factual inaccuracies and/or misleading information.	Fair Includes most basic relevant information and exhibits factual accuracy but some basic relevant information is missing.	Excellent All basic relevant information is included, as well as some additional interesting aspects.
Visual Design of Poster	Poor Presents information about the topic in an unorganized and uninteresting manner. Shows a lack of thought and planning. Fails to utilizes a variety of different materials and colors.	Fair Presents information about the topic in a somewhat organized and interesting manner, Shows some thought and planning. Utilizes some different materials and colors, but suffers from being cluttered and/or unorganized at certain points.	Excellent Presents information about the topic in a well-organized, interesting, and stimulating manner. Utilizes a variety of different materials and colors, and is uncluttered and pleasing to look at.
Writing	Poor with writing that is often not easy to read.	Fair Writing is not always easy to read.	Excellent with writing that is easy to read, evidencing careful thought and planning.
Creativity/Effort	Poor There is a noticeable lack of creativity and effort throughout the project.	Fair Some creativity is apparent in a number parts of the project, including in parts of both the presentation and poster design.	Excellent Substantial creativity is apparent throughout all parts of the project, including both presentation and poster design.
Oral Presentation up to 10 bonus points	Poor Presentation is not interesting and suggests a lack of preparation in both design and rehearsal. Does not effectively incorporate the content of the trifold into the presentation.	Fair Information is presented in a somewhat interesting manner. The trifold is used somewhat effectively as part of the presentation.
